We often write notes to ourselves on wood, paper, or other surfaces that are easy to erase or discard. But what if these notes could become something more? What if they could be transformed into finished products that then live on in the buildings we work in? Imagine a desk, a table, a shelf, or a wall that was made from the same wood that once held our notes. Imagine the stories, the memories, the knowledge that these products would carry. Imagine the connection between our past and our present, our temporary and our permanent.
